‘Texas has had a rich and valu­able his­tory, and as a result is very com­mit­ted to the preser­va­tion and edu­ca­tion of its his­tor­i­cal resources. As a com­mu­nity with a vibrant artis­tic cul­ture, Hewitt, Waco and sur­round­ing areas also offer an end­less num­ber of muse­ums, gal­leries, the­atres, venues and attrac­tions. Bay­lor University’s May­born Museum Com­plex, The Waco Art Cen­ter, the Tay­lor Museum of Waco His­tory, the Texas Ranger Hall Museum, the Dr Pep­per Museum and the Texas Sports Hall of Fame, pro­vide con­tin­u­ous cul­tural exhibits for Greater Hewitt Area residents.

The Waco Civic The­ater, McLen­nan Com­mu­nity Col­lege and Bay­lor Drama Depart­ment take the stage for per­for­mances through­out the year. The Waco Sym­phony, Bay­lor School of Music and other per­form­ers at the Heart of Texas Col­i­seum, Fer­rell Cen­ter and Waco Hall all exhibit their musi­cal talents.
